Christian Enlightenment Weekend Retreat
With Dr. Albert J LaChance and Dale Allen Hoffman
Friday July 10 – Sunday July 12
“If a man should walk during the night, he will stumble because he is not enlightened.”
Yochanan (John) 11:10 – Aramaic-English New Testament
For the last 40 years, Dr. Albert LaChance www.albertjlachance.com, author of many books including The Modern Christian Mystic, The Architecture of the Soul and the forthcoming The Way of Christ, has been exploring the interior truth of Christianity as it identifies with Eastern and indigenous spiritual traditions.
Dale Allen Hoffman www.daleallenhoffman.com a national speaker, translator of the ancient Aramaic language of Jesus and director of the international Aramaic Healing Circle, has been a student of Aramaic, the spoken language of Jesus, for over 16 years and has endeavored to bring the word of Christ up to date by liberating it from its 2,000 year imprisonment in Latin and Greek. In the words of Hoffman, “We weren’t supposed to change the message, the message was supposed to change us.”
Together they have discovered a means to speak about Jesus both as founder of what we know today as Christianity as well as an Eastern teacher whose guidance, in its original near-eastern Semitic essence, illuminates a path to enlightenment. They come together in order to bring forth a Unitive experience of the presence of Christ.
Those who attend these Christian Enlightenment talks and retreat will discover a fresh and rejuvenating experience of the awakened heart of the Christian faith that beats in true harmony with Eastern religions and philosophies as well as indigenous cultures throughout human history. At the same time, those of other faiths or traditions will feel affirmed in their traditions and come away with a view of Jesus of Nazareth as an eastern teacher. As part of the weekend retreat experience, a very refreshing and supportive presentation of Christian sacramental mysticism will awaken and rejuvenate the core insights of Christian faith, including the rituals of Baptism, Anointing and Eucharist–Communion.
$250 for the entire weekend
$199 Early Registration Special (by Tuesday June 30th)
Introductory Talk
LaChance and Hoffman will also be offering an introductory talk on Christian Enlightenment at Jubilee! Community at 46 Wall Street in downtown Asheville on Thursday, July 9th from 7 to 9PM. Admission is $10.

Finding Ayurveda
When I was in Massage school, there were questions unanswered about healing that I longed for. Soon enough though, it was revealed that the Yoga teachings could quench my thirst for this knowledge and fulfill the desires of spiritual curiosity(for a while). Fortunately by 1999, I was enrolled at the oldest Yoga school in America, Integral Yoga Institute, founded by Sri Swami Satchidananda. (The Woodstock GURU:)
I incorporated Yoga philosophy with clients intuitively and continued to practice meditation and asanas regularly while being initiated into teaching at the same time.
By 2001, I stumbled into Ayurveda. Ayurveda, like Yoga is a pure and beautiful science designed by ancient spiritual healers. This began the marriage of my Yoga studies into Massage studies at the same time. I was happy to incorporate the beauty of the PURE teachings into working with clients.READ MORE - A blissful Life: The Blog
The Subtle Energy Component
You may find, as a therapist or as a practitioner, you wonder about the subtle aspects of your massage experience. Some questions that may arise include:
What oil should be used for each individual?
How do the seasons and time of day affect each individuals healing?
How do emotion, thought and prayer play into affecting the healing process of each person, in relation to massage therapy?
How do I address conversations about holistic healing with my massage client/therapist?
In what way do stretches play into my healing in the ayurvedic model?
These questions AND MORE will be answered in Abhyangha Massage Training.
